Swim only in the designated Emerald Pool area and only while current signs permit it. Blue Pool and Crystal Pool are viewing stops. Do not enter them, even when the water looks calm and clear.
Emerald Pool is a natural spring pool, not a tiled swimming pool. Its floor is uneven, the depth changes and wet limestone can be slippery. Non-swimmers should remain in shallow water with a capable companion.
There is no substitute for checking the conditions in front of you. Rainfall can quickly change surfaces and water flow.
Stay on marked paths, take all rubbish out, do not feed wildlife and do not remove plants, rocks or other natural objects. Avoid introducing soap, shampoo, sunscreen spray or other chemicals into the natural pools.
The sanctuary protects lowland rainforest and a sensitive spring system, so barriers and closures are part of managing the site rather than an inconvenience to bypass. Read the map and facilities guide to plan changing and toilet stops before swimming.
Pool identity and conservation context are checked against the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Department of National Parks. Checked 12 September 2026.

Families visit, but adults must supervise children closely around uneven, slippery surfaces and changing water depth.
They are not mandatory, but grippy walking sandals or shoes are much safer than smooth flip-flops on wet paths.
